What is phthalates?
Phthalates is a group of chemical compounds, mainly used in polyvinyl chloride materials, so that polyvinyl chloride from hard plastic into flexible plastic, played the role of plasticizer.

Phthalates is a kind of chemical which can soften. It is widely used in toys, food packaging materials, all kinds of plastic materials, cleaning agents, lubricants, personal   care products, etc.. The substance may involve a wide range of fields.

Phthalates Limitations Directive
Europe: restrictions on toys and child care supplies of the adjacent benzene two formate in EU directive 2005/84EC, came into force in January 16, 2007, all members of the European Union in July 16, 2007 before the directive into national legislation in January 16, 2008 began to implement the relevant legislation.

United States: in August 14, 2008, President Bush signed the consumer product safety improvement act H.R.4040 to make it a law to export to the United States in general consumer goods in the phthalates to make a clear limit requirements.

2005/84/EC of phthalates limiting value

1)3 types of phthalates (DEHP, DBP, and BBP) contained in plastic for toys and children's care products shall not be more than 0.1%

2)DEHP, DBP and BBP concentrations of toys and child care products, shall not be sold in the EU market.

3)Children can put into the mouth toys and children's care products , the plastic containing 3 kinds of phthalates (DINP, DIDP and DNOP), the concentration should not exceed 0.1%.

4)DINP, DIDP and DNOP concentrations of toys and child care products, shall not be sold in the EU market
